Supawadee Prongsa “Birth”
I received my degree in physiotherapy in 1998 and work as a PT in hospitals. My focus was on musculo-skeletal systems and pregnant women. In order to learn more on how to better take care of my patients, I started to learn about Pilates in 2006. After delivering my second child in 2009, I started to practice Pilates seriously and studied under the Physical Mind education course in 2010. Since then, I have been teaching Pilates full time.
With having two children (a daughter and son), and my personal interest in child development, the Mommy and Me education course was a perfect fit and I completed this in 2012. Since then I have also been teaching the Mommy and Me class offered at the studio.
Starting her teaching career in 2006 after being a practitioner since the studio opened, Ormploy found that Pilates helps her body to be more balanced so she could move better and efficiently.
After being certified from Physical Mind, Ormploy continued her study by attaining courses and workshops around the world from Polestar and Balanced Body, gaining knowledge in rehabilitation and spine pathology as well as improving her level of skill to ensure the highest standard of teaching possible. Recently, Ormploy joined a mentor program with Elizabeth Larkam on Strategic and Fascia Orientation Movement – a new approach on Pilates Movement – in addition to CoreAlign with Jonathan Hoffman to add a more practical approach of movement to deal with today’s lifestyle.
At the moment Ormploy is one of the Body & Flow master trainers, teaching teachers to-be in Thailand. It is her commitment and passion to continue bringing Pilates to others for the benefits of core control, body-mind connection, and efficiency of movement.
I found Pilates Studio through the BAMBI magazine and joined the Mommy and Me classes in 2011. After having 2 children, I struggled with back pain and postpartum effects. I lost my strength and felt so weak when trying to connect to myself again. With knowledge and experience of practicing yoga, I could help myself to relieve tension and pain, but having a too flexible body didn’t give me strength. I took Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga teacher training because I wish to deepen my knowledge and since the course was taught by Ory, who is a Pilates teacher and practitioner for over 10years, she equipped us with great benefits from both yoga and Pilates. During the course I observed and joined classes and felt that Pilates method really brought my core strength back within a short period of time. So it turned to be my passion that I decided to take the Pilates Mat Education Course with Ory. Over a year of regular practice on Pilates Mat, I now get myself back in shape and feel stronger like my 20’s again.
